When you're here, you're with friends.
Salida Community Center (SCC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit supported by and providing for our community. Our aim is to enhance the quality of life in our community through individual and family services, community programs, and partnerships with other organizations. Our focus is to also provide the support, the services and the opportunities for older adults to remain as independent as possible, in their own homes and in their own community.
Located on the corner of F and 3rd Streets in historic downtown Salida, Colorado, our facilities were upgraded and renovated between 2010-2014. We provide suitable space at very reasonable prices for meetings, fundraisers, benefits, community groups, gaming groups, private functions, live music, fellowship, lifelong learning, social events and special events. We also provide assistance to our senior community, families in need, and individuals, as well as food assistance through TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program). We utilize funds received to provide community outreach to those in need or whom cannot help themselves. Please visit our EVENTS page for calendar listings.
We feature a community lunch program Tuesday through Friday, with hot, homemade cooking from our in-house chef. Our monthly menu is available at the Center, or via this site and TheMountainMail.com. Cost is $4 for senior citizens, and $6 for all others, except on Wednesdays when we feature our very popular all-you-can-eat taco bar for $5. Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on those days.
If you’d like to schedule your regular meeting or special event, please visit our FACILITIES page, or contact Elaine Allemang for more information.
